Lessons in language #1

My house, and well actually my whole family, has our own language.
It's mostly inside jokes and it's constantly in motion (meaning some
phrases die out in just a few months), but it's complicated and you'll
need a glossary. No really, it's like crazy cockney rhyming slang. So
here goes, glossary entry number one. Get ready, this one's a keeper.

Sylvia: thank you.

Now here's why:
We want to say thank you. In French thank you is s'il vous plait. S'il
vous plait sounds like Sylvia Plath. Sylvia Plath is too much to say,
so it's shortened down to sylvia. Now you know, sylvia for listening.

Ps. I have no idea what this picture has to do with anything. And man
I look sleepy.

Pps. Today is my Friday!
