every day's a new dumb adventure

A bit of neighborly love

Each year our next door neighbors host an annual holiday party. It's
usually full of their assortment of friends as well as neighbors. This
year, probably due to the ridiculous rain downpour it was about 50%
neighbors. It's interesting, we live in the city and yet I feel like
we live in a gossipy little town. I guess that's what happens when you
live on a quiet cul de sac.

The rain had kept me in my pjs all day, but I couldn't not go to the
party. We'd have to hide inside with the lights off if we didn't go.
So at 8 we got dressed up (I think we clean up pretty well) and headed
next door. I'm glad we did, I had fun and they make a mean punch (and
rum cake too).

Now, several hours later, I'm back in pjs (new ones the other ones
were lived in all day) and am enjoying the sound of the rain. Although
I guess it means the alemany flea market is pretty much not an option
tomorrow morning.
