The Daily Sabs

When you work at a place like Sugar, things like leaving work early to watch the latest twilight movie isn't out of the ordinary. And that my friends is what happened today. For the record, this movie was a pass. That said, I can't wait until our final twilight field trip.

While I love twilight for the mockery and ridiculousness (can we please take a quick second to talk about the wolf pack scene? Can we?!) the best part of the whole field trip was the hunger games trailer on the big screen!!! CAN NOT WAIT.

Tuesdays have become so weird and today fit right on in. Around 3 the whole development gang (minus a few hold outs) headed out for coffee. Sadly the whole gang didn't fit inside the photo. We did however all manage to cram in the elevator.

At the end of the day Angelica and I were commiserating together and decided to grab a bite, a drink, and call it a tv date. We ended up at Amelie where there was flatbread, wine, and oysters. Then we ate poprocked chocolate, talked jam and commercial kitchens, and then called it a night.

The weather was exceptionally nice today and the office felt like we were all walking and talking in molasses. Let's just say the nice weather generally translates to gross hot on the 15th floor without AC (for the record I really love AC and miss it ever since moving here). To keep cool Jordan, V, and I stopped by seller's market to sit in the shade for lunch. At the end of the day, when I was about to peel myself out of my chair and head home, a happy hour for britt's birthday note came thru.

So angelica, Anna, and I met a crew over at Otis. I'd never been before and despite the heat I thought it was a rad place for happy hour. Happy birthday britt! Hope you have a great year!

Ps. Technical difficulty (aka i forgot anna's new phone's photo resolution would mean I'd have to send fewer attachments) meant I lost photos of all the crew. Boo hoo!

Today was a decidedly summer day here in sf. While the rest of the country preps for fall, we embrace our summer. That said, the whole white after labor day thing goes by the wayside in this city. How do I know? Myself, Kellan, and Melissa (who wasn't taking pics so I had to draw her in) all wore white dresses. In fact we all wore cotton white dresses with eyelets. Guess the rest of you didn't get the memo.

Steph (pictured on the far right) is in town from the NY office and to celebrate her presence, we went out for happy hour. Sadly steph worked later than she hoped and so happy hour started later than anticipated. That's okay though. What we lacked in early we made up for in late. First up was metropol with, the usual hangout with V, dk, and Julie, and then afterwards Kellan and I brought steph to barbacco. We ordered up our wine via iPad, and then feasted on a bunch of tasty treats. So delish!

This afternoon I accompanied Kellan on a zipcar adventure across town. We were looking through the lost and found at Luxor cab HQ, but sadly we didn't find what we were looking for. It was strange to be out and about during a work day, but sort of fun too.

When we got back Nicole was in the office with her new bambino. This one doesn't have teeth to bite yet, but she better watch it when he does.
