Am I smizing? More like cryzing.

Went over to anneh's house this evening. Yes folks the latest season,
er I mean cycle, of america's next model has started and this means
it's photoshoot Wednesdays at anneh's house.

Today Tyra had the girls wrapped in ridiculous scarves. I particularly
loved the two who had to have their faces covered. I was hoping to
acheive that look, but clearly my scarves aren't opaque enough. Oh
well at least this way you can see my eyes. I was trying to smize (you
know smiling with my eyes), but I look more like I'm crying. I mean
cryzing.

It's a party t' me

A while back, morm gave me this shirt. I think she got it when she was
in Taiwan last, but I'm not sure. To be honest it might have been
samshrew who gave me this shirt. Either way it's part of my awesome
pile which contains things that are too awesome (aka unprofessional)
to wear on a regular basis.

Now many people think this shirt says "It's a party time" but I like
to think it says "It's a party t' me" which is like "to me" meaning we
should have a party for me.

As for the other text, I have no idea what it means. And quite frankly
I think we'll be partying too hard to care.

The one where I take my fat ass to the gym

Thanks to the candy madness, and overall lack of self control, my
jeans are starting to feel, oh shall we say snug?

This morning I woke up and said enough is enough. I told Randall I had
shocking news and that I would be home later than usual because I was
going to the gym after work. Shocking indeed. For a little while I
thought I might talk myself out of it, but I'm here on a dumb
elliptical sweating. Yuck. Make me come back tomorrow, okay? I could
use a literal kick start.

my dogs is tired

for some reason this weekend really turned in to a tourist in my own backyard sort of weekend. first it was alcatraz, then it was the wave organs, and today it was mclaren park with samshrew, chris, randall and sushi dog. we hung out for a few hours and made friends with some other dogs, and then we went for foods. it was such a peautiful day, the weather was really warm, and as you can tell, it wore me and sushidog out.

Catch a wave organ

Today turned out to be one of those "when it's gorgeous, it's
gorgeous" sort of San Francisco days. I continued the tourist in my
own town theme by dragging Randall to brunch with dk and anneh.
Randall was going to put on a wig so he could be one of the gals, but
it was too hot.

After brunch anneh declared heat defeat and left the party. The rest
of us went on a walk. Dk has a great blog idea up her sleeve and
wanted to kick start it with an adventure. This is why we headed down
to the wave organs down in the marina. The tide was pretty low so it
wasn't as awesome as it could have been. However, it was still cool
and like I said, it was definitely gorgeous out.

Let's go to jail

This evening lamers treated us to a trip to Alcatraz. Her boyfriend
Jim is visiting sf for the first time and so we're helping him do
touristy things.

I had actually never been to Alcatraz before and thought it was pretty
cool. The self led audio tour is great and the views of the city are
amazing.

To make it extra special lamers booked us on the night tour. It's a
little spookier at night andthere are special perks like being able to
see the hospital wing.

And while the riots and escape attempts are intriguing, I was mostly
fascinated by the fact that the prison guard families used to live on
the island too. Could you imagine being a kid living on a prison
island? Why hasn't someone made this coming of age movie yet?

Ps. I have no idea what this face I'm making is.

the nightman cometh

this evening the gang traversed across the city to see a live rendition of an episode of it's always sunny in philadelphia. it was pretty friggin' fantastic. i wasn't sure what i was going to do for today's sabs, for a while i thought i might take a picture with one of the many green men, but decided it wasn't that fun. it wasn't like it was the real green man, just a fan.

However during the show i remembered that the nightman's "cat eyes" were actually his eyelids painted and well, once i realized that, i knew what today's photo had to be.

i know it's the day man who is the master of karate and friendship for everyone, but i can't help but feel like i am a karate and friendship master right now.

oh and just in case you wanted to know, here's a bonus pic of what i look like with my eyes open.

pps. here's some bonus philadelphia for you, because that shit is funny, and this essentially the finale of tonight's show.

A couple of pasty faces

This is my good pal lamers. She probably will hurt you with an icy
stare if you call her that, so it's miss Amy to you. She and her
boyfriend "Jim" are visiting us from Seattle. Aims is a way old time
machine friend of randall's who I have stolen over the years.

Tonight we all met up for drinks (including anneh, Scottel, and the
always lovely meg). We then ventured out for eats and then finally
more drinks. We ended up at the elbo room where the Santa cruz
connection runs rampant, and where it turns out amy's friend nako was
goth dj'ing. That's right, goth dj'ing complete with taffy pulling
dancing and remote picking uping. I didn't stay long enough to see
(hey it's a school night and I have a busy week), but I did stay long
enough to take this pasty pictograph and say see look we could totally
fit in at a goth club. Except oh shit, I don't have on nearly enough
eyeliner.

On a scavenger hunt

After work dk and I went on a scavenger hunt. We had a really random
list of things to buy and ended up all over town. At one point we had
to stop and get gas. That is my least favorite chore and apparently
it's low on dk's list too. So while she pumped gas, I poked my head
out the window and made it a fun time.

Ps. Scavenger hunt complete. Mission accomplished.guffaw

The view as I see it

Our house doesn't have a full length mirror. Instead it has a closet
door covered in 1960s era mirrored squares. Only the mirrors are
really old and slightly goldtinted and don't really reflect much
light. In fact, I had to bump this photo up a few brightness notches
just so you could see. The gold tint has been the culprit of many ill-
conceived color combos. Like gray black forest and olive because you
know I thought they were all shades of gray.
