Let's start off by saying that despite the heat, I heart new york.
From a pretty young age, I always thought I would live here. I'm kind
of disappointed that it hasn't happened yet and I'm kind of wondering
if it ever will. I honestly don't know if I'll be satisified with life
if it doesn't happen, at least for a little while. Although the same
can be said about shanghai, but at least with new york we speak the
same language and there's no work visa required.
Why do I heart new York so much? Let's start with the 4am bar closing,
go to the amazing restaurants and talk about the people. You know,
like my new pal Tony. Doesn't he look friendly? He came to the office
to flameproof our tablecloths and he was great and flexible and
willingly posed for this photo. He also gave me a certificate. It now
doesn't matter how hot I am, i've got a certificate proving I'm
flameproof.
After hanging with tony, caitlynn and I headed to the hotel to spend
five minutes freshing up and then hustle to dinner. Turns out we
didn't need to hustle, Brian was running late and so we pushed dinner
back an hour.
With time to kill, caitlynn and I went to max brenner so she could buy
her guy some chocolates. I ordered a pb chocolate shake, it was only
so-so. But the smoothness hit the spot. Have I mentioned it's fucking
hot here?
Afterwards we headed to Mercat for some delicious food and drink.
Katherine (not pictured because I'm lame, but you might remember her
as the MBA intern last year) surprised us at the restaurant. Hijinx
insure, but she left early. The rest of us drank wine, went back to
the dungeon hotel and then drank some more.
Now my friends, it's bedtime. Night!
