i'll admit it, i'm not much of a sports fan (although i am pretty positive i could become one if i wanted to), and i didn't watch a baseball game all season. that said, i do love san francisco, even if its politics, pee smell, and citizens drive me crazy (let's save that for another day). i also sort of love parades. so when the hometown heroes, the world champion Giants, were being rewarded by a ticker tape parade, i knew i'd have to check it out.
lucky for all of us, Sugar HQ was right on the parade route. and even more luckily, our building is quirky and still has windows that open way too wide for current safety measures. this meant we got to gawk and cheer, and root root root for the home team.
i'll admit it, while i tried really hard not to get swept up in world series madness (come on, who likes a fairweather fan?), i couldn't help myself when it came to the parade. it was just too much fun to witness.
