every day's a new dumb adventure

i can't believe it's not real paper

okay, that's not really true. i can believe it. i mean, i'm no dummy and am very aware of the difference between real paper and kindle epaper. what i can't believe though, is how incredibly thin this thing is.

i'm not 100% sure why we need one of these, but randall likes to keep us part of the future, so i try not to question it too much. besides if this means my house will no longer be littered by books that randall pays too much for and reads just once, then i'm okay with it. also it's actually pretty cool.

in related news, apparently the day randall bought this was the day i told myself i was going to start using the library more often.

and that pretty much sums the two of us up.

Tell Randall I am really jealous. I was drooling over the Kindle my bus neighbor was using the other day.

I can't read on screen. Gives me a headache. And I read in the bath tub. Drop a book and it's "Whoops! Bummer." Drop a Kindle and it's "Oh sh*t!!!"

the screen is really interesting, it's not like reading on a regular screen, you should see it, it's future. can't help about the bath though...

The screen is not backlit so It reads like paper. Very easy on the eyes.
