The one where we find a house but talk ourselves out of it

Last night, with the assistance of neon and burger, Randall and I
headed out to the slumberland records 20th birthday party. Randall
wasn't feeling well so he bailed early. I, however stayed. It was fun
to see the newer bands (like the summercats), but it was a super treat
to see some of the older bands reunited (like go sailor and henry's
dress). Yet i must say, I feel officially too old for two nights of
shows in a row; my feet hurt from standing around and my hearing's
muffled despite wearing ear plugs.

It's unfortunate then that I don't seem to learn from my actions. In
fact, I think the month of April even has a week with three shows in a
row (beach house, atoms for peace, and love is all). It's the sad
price to pay for good tunes. And, I've been wasting good money on
shows for over 15 years, so why stop now?

This morning, after a bit of a slow start, randall and I went shopping
for both houses and groceries. We got the groceries but didn't get a
house. We found a pretty great one and we both thought we should place
an offer (first time we felt that way), but after a quick refeuling
(at atlas cafe where we ran into Colleen) we decided not too. It's 95%
amazing but is 5% too small and maybe 10% too expensive. That said,
I'm sure it'll be the one that got away.
