Update! (Because you're all dying to know...)

For the most part, this worked. As you can see in the terribly unflattering before photo, my hair was a frizzy mess (i had been in braids and took those out), thus it's still a bit frizzy today. There are a few pieces down the center where it doesn't look like it took at all, and a pretty bad kink where the pony tail started. I'm going to try again with fresh hair this time and see what happens then.

Oh and because I had so many questions, here's the original post (videos below), that inspired me. This gal got herself some purdy hair.

I was past due for a haircut, and this afternoon I remedied the situation. It's funny, I'm actually growing it out, but needed to trim the scraggles off as it's been looking rather beastly. Plus, the bangs had grown way out monster-style and I never really feel like myself when the bangs are growing out. But now thanks to laura's genius I'm me again. Now if only I can make it look this sleek and shiny on my own.

And if new hair wasn't good enough, for dinner I nom'd me some ike's sandwiches. It was tasty, but something is different, the bread just didn't hold up. Ike's is your new fast oven not as good as your old slow one?

My pal Laura worked her hair art magic once again, but this time we went to our college years and added some color. Only unlike college, I didn't want something that was pachow! in your face. So we worked up something a little more subtle. Well, as subtle as blue can be. That's right, blue. It's only an underlayer, so I should be able to play it up when needed, or keep it cool when I have to be a grownup.

Speaking of being a grownup, Angelica and I had a lunch date today. We sat down at a restaurant and chatted even. Of course, I should mention that it took us over two months to arrange this, but I'm glad we persisted.

this weekend i washed my hair and let it air dry without really combing it or putting in any product. it flipped out on all the edges in a way that was not intended, and each time i passed by a mirror i couldn't help but think, "wow, it's like hipster carol brady." i threw the hipster part in there to make myself feel better about the whole thing. but come on, look at it, it's totally carol brady.

if you've been following this blog, you may know that i hate washing my hair. i absolutely hate it. it's officially a chore in my mind. but well hey, sometimes you just gotta suck it up and get the job done.
