sleep. eat. sleep. eat. drink. drink. drink.

one of the best things about birthdays on fridays is that you get the entire weekend. i didn't have anything planned for today, but it turned out to be a really nice one. it started off with the leftover oysters (nick brought them last night and stored them properly so that i could shuck them and eat them for breakfast), a few rounds of fat princess, a nap, shopping at my new favorite gift store, and then ended with drinks, dinner, and dessert at molly and kjell's new place. overall a really nice day.

ps. if molly ever invites you to her house for dinner, do yourself a favor, don't eat anything all day long. seriously, i am stuffed. also, make sure you get the view from the roof. friggin' amazing.

4 gals, 6.5 bottles, and 2 trips to the slides

this afternoon deirdre, melissa, and molly came over for a quick trip to the slides. the seward street slides are only a few blocks from my house, however they are a trip down the hill and then back up, only to go down and back up again. we started off with a glass of champers (i sort of hate that word, but champagne is pretty stuff sounding), and then walked on over.

after going down the slides (no scrapes or real bruises, amazing!), we came to my place where we drank some more. after a few hours (where randall played mr. perfect husband and pretended not to be there except for the part where he grilled us up the delicious food), we decided it would be fun to go down the slides again. so deirdre convinced randall to drive us the few blocks, and he did. this time molly and i went down face first, and luckily our faces are still intact.

afterwards we came back to my house where we drank even more and cuddled about. btw, my whole neighborhood might know what molly's ass looks like. just saying.

ps. we had the most ridiculous conversation with my neighbors chuck and rick. i think they think we're crazy.

pps. you need to try this sangria recipe. i used it as the base for ours and it is amazing.

ppps. i thought i didn't drink that much, but now that everyone is gone i am feeling really drunk. gwah gwah.

If they want it, let them have it

Today was a much needed beer o'clock. However this time instead of work causing all of my usual frustration and anger, it was family life. My personal homelife is great, it's those ridiculous parents that play with your mind. You'd think that after 30 some years parents would figure out how their kids will react to different scenarios. Somehow that doesn't seem to be the case. How I see it, after all that time they become more self absorbed and resent you for driving them crazy and eating all their foods.

Ps. Kjell (in the back corner) was mugged today. Luckily he saves lives everyday and therefore the police talk to him like they're in movies.

Pps. I totally saw a guy tagging the 22 bus in broad daylight and then just walk away. Was I supposed to do something?
