You shouldn't have murdered that lady

Monday night is comedy class night and tonight burger and I learned
all about the universe. My universe is okay, but I'm still pretty
terrible at this improv thing. I have three weeks to figure it out.
That's right, mark your calendars folks, february 1 is show time. You
can come watch us, but it might be, okay it will be, terrible. Either
way it's gonna be a laff.

A little kitchen a little cava

This evening burger called to see if me and Randall were interested in
grabbing a bite to eat. It took a little while to figure out where to
chow down but eventually we decided on contigo in Noe valley. It's a
new place (I swear it was a sushi place before, can anyone confirm?)
that just opened a few weeks ago. The food was great and the
atmosphere warm and inviting. Service was good and bad at the same
time, dinner definitely took longer than I had anticipated, and there
was a small period of just waiting around. However the company was
good and the churros, oh the churros, made me less annoyed by the wait.

Afterwards burger and I stood on a street corner and exchanges gifts.
Actually she forgot mine so that is my disgust face.

Ps. Are my eyebrows too pointy? Randall said I looked like a cartoon
character.

Bringing home the bacon, but not the burger

Today felt like a long day, part of it's the weather, part of it's
the going to bed too late, and part of it is work. Whatever the
culprit, they are all adding up to grouchy tired want to curl into a
ball and sleep sabs.

At around 6 burger called to see what I was up to. I told her work and
that I couldn't play unless it involved sitting and doing nothing. She
said she was taking her pup suita out for a walk and maybe we could
schedule a rendezvous. You see, she had something for me.

I almost turned it down on the count of being grouchy, but burger is a
good, and knew I couldn't say no. Besides, she arranged to meet me
outside of my muni stop, and so I couldn't really say no. I'm glad I
didn't. Not only did she have bacon potato chips for me, she had hugs
and sometimes I really like those.

floating somewhere beyond time and suspended in space (too good to be true)

there are a lot of reasons today's photo is late, but none of them are really worth going into.

tonight burger and i went to see jarvis cocker at the fillmore. while there we ran into chuckles, summer, blake, margaret, bean and his fiance stephanie. all of us aging britpoppers trying to keep the magic alive. the show itself was just so-so, i can't say i actually like anything but the cover of the new album, so it wasn't very captivating. the best part was actually the encore. probably because it featured an impromptu reading of bean and steph's wedding invitation, and a rendition of can't take my eyes off of you (see for yourself below!). and partly because it was just better.

ps. i just made a new rule, in a pinch, as long as the photo was taken that day it's still fine. it's a copout rule, but oh well. it's not like anyone knows all the crazy rules except me.

and now without further adieu, jarvis and the wedding invite:

Never gonna be funny

This evening burger dropped by for a little visit. She introduced us
to food party (google "food party ifc" if you're curious), something I
thought randall would love, but he only seemed to find mildly amusing.

After we watched the first fp episode, burger and I went to the
backyard to chat. I was going to take a pic of us lazing about but
decided to try the video feature instead. That was a mistake. We tried
to be funny and they just turned out terrible. No, make that horrible,
stupid, and dumb. Just downright dumb.

But folks, that never stopped me before, and I guess it shouldn't stop
me today. So here's the least lame video of the evening. And yes, this
was the least lame. I'm not proud of that either.

At the porcupine racetrack!

Burger and I heart the state, but burger hearts me more.

We just got out of the eureka theater where we saw the state live. We all giggled a lot (despite the lewd humor) and had great laughs. Angelica had a bonus laugh when the guy next to her said he'd try to be small.

ps. the title is reference to this - the state's magnum opus, which they performed live!
