if the neon family is true

woke up ridiculously early today (try 5:45, hours before i usually begin stirring), but that was okay because we were meeting the neon family for breakfast and i would rather be awake for a few hours, than sleepytown groggy.

they were visiting from sacto. not a long journey, but sometimes it takes a big effort (lil' ira probably adds to that). we met up at the ferry building where we partook in a large meal from primavera (niki my regrets, i should've warned you that you'd be too full for the cheese afterwards!). once again, they were not serving fish tacos, but once again i was happy with my meal regardless.

after eating we wandered around the market and the shops. after a few hours ira wasn't having it anymore. he was so angry that he wanted to knock over the stroller (apparently he hates it) and wouldn't settle for not being able to do it. this kid is going to be trouble, he's a totally adorable lil' devil. mamas hide your daughters and tell your sons how to duck.

oh and today's weather was fantastic, in the afternoon burger and i drove around with the top down singing at the top of our lungs. total greats day. now off to food and maybe some dancing!

ps. i like to sing the words "neon family" to the arcade fire's "neon bible" obviously replacing the word family for bible.

At lunch with the work boys

I wanted to show you a timely pic of an "I voted" sticker, but absentee voters don't get a fancy sticker. So instead you get a pic of me with the guys at lunch.

There's something about this situation that makes me nostalgic. Here I am, the only gal at lunch with a table full of tech dudes. Sound familiar? It makes me think of 2001. The fact that the weather has that "universal" feel to it today only makes me more nostalgic.

Oh, what was for lunch? Fish tacos from taylor's at the ferry building. Sometimes my life is ridiculously good.
