Who's That behind me?

This morning as I was walking to work, I felt someone walking really fast behind me. To be considerate, I stayed to the left, they seemed to approach from the left, so then I swayed right, the footsteps then switched over and started giggling. Surprised, I turned around and saw miss Elsa! Although we live on similar commute routes, I rarely see her outside of the office.

We walked the few blocks to the muni and caught a train right away. We didn't realize why, but when we got to Montgomery station the peet's appeared to be shuttered shut and we remembered that it was president's day. Elsa, who hits up peets every morning, was upset to see they were closed. Luckily, we had jumped to conclusions. Turns out only the sides were shut, and the front was still open. Elsa was so glad, she even bought me an iced tea! My treat next time miss Elsa, thanks for making my commute brighter!

Oh the commute

So in case you haven't heard, the bay bridge is out. This is
apparently screwing commutes all up and down the bay area. The weird
thing is, it's screwing my commute also. Yesterday and today were just
overpacked trains. Miserable people and standing far too close to
people. This picture doesn't actually do it any justice as it was
before the people all clamored on.

I don't get it though. My commute goes the opposite direction from the
bay bridge. How on earth is the outage affecting it? Anyone have any
theories?

How did I miss my stop?

Generally speaking, I take the same train everyday. I get off at the
same station and know when to get ready to disembark. Today however, I
forgot. The train pulled in to my station and I stayed on. In fact, I
didn't even realize we had gone through my station. As far as I'm
concerned we didn't.

In other news I now can cross forest hill station off the list of
places I've been.

Ps. I was trying to make my defeated duck face, I don't think it came
out quite right.
