after work i joined the pop gals for our standard friday beer o'clock. molly asked me what i was up to and i told her that i was meeting randall and some friends (that would be apes and dan) for drinks. she started to compliment me on escaping nerd friday, when i told her to hold that thought. you see, i was leaving beer o'clock to head to a literary death match. and while it's not traditional nerd friday, it's pretty damn nerdy.
only sadly, by the time we got to the elbo room, the place was packed. we took a spot near the side, but i could barely hear. i was also uncomfortable and wished i didn't wear heels. at the first judging, apes and dan went to stand on the other side, and i decided to call it quits. i've been tired all week, and my dinner of beers, vodka tonics, and jelly beans was sending me to sleepstown. so hey apes, i'm sorry for flaking.
ps. i do not recommend following said dinner with french fries for dessert. in fact, i do not recommend said dinner at all.
