The kids host their first grown up BBQ party

This afternoon Randall and I headed to millbrae for a BBQ at sushi's house where Sam and chris were kind enough to provide a feast. There were a bunch of folks there and the crowd was divided between the sunny, but windy, backyard and the mutiple old school game platform equipped nerd dungeon. I parked myself near the snacks where I made friends with all the dogs. Sushi was, as always, territorial, but somehow I managed to make friends with scooby. As you can see, he liked me. He might have just wanted to lick the hamburger off my face, but you get the idea.

Afterwards we all fell asleep on the couches thanks to our full bellies, or maybe it was the copious amounts of drinkage. You know, it's hard to tell. Job well done kids! Job well done!

Stacking on Sunday

Today was the complete opposite of yesterday. In fact I didn't step foot outside, despite the peautiful weather. What I did do was read, make food for lunches, do laundry, and play hours of stacking. I love games like this one. Just sort of innocent E for everyone fun, but clever, and not kiddy. Well not that kiddy, there are still some instances of immature (read flatulence) humor, but mostly it's just whimsy and makes your brain think. I Highly recommended, although be warned, you might just turn into a stacking doll yourself.

uncharted: slice of domestic

today was a massive home day. i hate to think that my house was in need of six hours of cleaning, but apparently it was. randall left to go hang out with his pals and 6 hours later he came back and i had just finished cleaning. i mean like everything. laundry, bathroom, dusting, dishes, windows, everything. i hope to not have to do it again for a while. although something tells me that when i go away next weekend and leave randall here to his own devices, i might not have a choice. not to be stereotypical, but well, you know.

although, if i think about it, the house probably won't be a wreck, only the path from kitchen to video game console. that area might not survive.

speaking of video games, randall is playing (actually he just finished) uncharted2, and while it seemed helluva short, it looked like fun, and i was a total sucker for that story line full of ancient artifacts, double crosses, and adventure town. see, look how enthralled i am just to watch.

i forgot to give it a title (nerd sunday)

some sundays you wake up, throw on sweats, and sit around all day. then there are the sundays where you wake up, throw on your regular clothes, walk down to delicious brunch, wander about, come home, throw on sweats and then sit around all day. today was one of those days. randall and i ate at ike's, and then we added on a few hours of video-gaming fun. because well, we are nerds, and sometimes nerd friday spills over thru the whole weekend.
