Today was one of those days i love, the simultaneously lazy and busy kind. I woke up late (stayed up to finish the last hunger games book, if you've read please discuss), and then puttered about for a while.
Around 2 Randall and I headed down to the underground market. It's a gathering of food vendors who don't have licenses and there were some good treats to be had. The jerky and the bacon were probably the highlights, but the weird raw food cone and the bread pudding also won me over. Julie and her gf were there, so we hung out for a wee bit and then Randall and I stopped for coffee and cucumber lemonade at stable. I did not have the coffee.
It was a pretty peautiful day out (especially considering how chilly it's been) and if we didn't already have plans I might have insisted on a BBQ. Randall and I thought about driving around, but in the end we came home, ignored our chores and vegged out.
The BBQ talk soaked into our brain so when it was time for dinner we decided their was only one option: pulled pork and ribs. We were headed to buckshot for chris's bday, so we stopped at roadside (they're more or less across from each other). After some ribs we headed over to buckshot where we the first to arrive, so we secured a spot, some beers, and three rounds of skeeball. A little while later the rest of the gang (including burger) showed up. Sadly, that was when it was time to leave. Randall, burger, and I had tickets for delocated at sketchfest and were meeting up with miss april.
The show itself was spotty. Some parts were hilarious (Eugene mirman is always amazing) and some not so much. AC Newman with voice changer would've also been pretty amazing if I was a bigger fan, but caused me to chuckle nonetheless. Although I have to admit at that point I was sort of ready to go on home.
Anyways, I'm there now and it's bedtime. Nite all, and happy birthday chris!
