This morning Randall and I kept the activities light, as we had three parties to attend. First up was a quick trek over the golden gate for a Christmas gift swap at Kate and josh's. It was a fun affair with all of my favorite geeks. Plus it was a bonus birthday celebration for Josh, so in addition to awesome holiday cheer (Kate even had stockings for each of us), we also got to partake in pirate-themed susiecakes birthday cake. Thanks for getting older Josh!
After we had our fill of wine, conversation, cake, and puppy bites, we bid our hosts farewell and headed back to our side of the bridge. The wonderful chuck and Rick were having their annual holiday soirée and since we live next door we had to stop and say hello. Plus they were offering up good foods and dangerous everclear punch, so how could we say no.
We mingled with the neighbors for a while and got the lowdown on all the latest gossip. I left my camera at home, so no inside pics (which is a shame as their christmas tree is always perfectly gorgeous like a movie set).
We couldn't stay too late as next up was the Molly/kjell/sam/sandro fondue vs raclette party. For the record raclette won my heart over, but I think it's because it's a new thing. Randall doesn't agree, he says fondue all the way. Just more proof on how Randall and I are an opposites attract sort of a situation. Either way it's warm cheese goodness so no complaints here.
There were also a few good sweaters at the party. I (and most others) forgot/missed the part that said to wear funny sweaters. Randall was a little sad about that because you all know how weird his sweaters are. He rarely gets the opportunity to flaunt them and I thwarted his moment. However Lauren and her beau (who's name I'm blanking on mostly because my brain is three parties drunk and I'd rather admit defeat than get it wrong) took the job very seriously. Well done team!
Alright folks, we're finally home and we've got some late era joy division/early era new order cranking, it's time for a quick living room dance party and then bed. Nitey nite and happy holidays!Color: other people, color, nonself, randall
