Nerd Friday: happy birthday britt edition!

The weather was exceptionally nice today and the office felt like we were all walking and talking in molasses. Let's just say the nice weather generally translates to gross hot on the 15th floor without AC (for the record I really love AC and miss it ever since moving here). To keep cool Jordan, V, and I stopped by seller's market to sit in the shade for lunch. At the end of the day, when I was about to peel myself out of my chair and head home, a happy hour for britt's birthday note came thru.

So angelica, Anna, and I met a crew over at Otis. I'd never been before and despite the heat I thought it was a rad place for happy hour. Happy birthday britt! Hope you have a great year!

Ps. Technical difficulty (aka i forgot anna's new phone's photo resolution would mean I'd have to send fewer attachments) meant I lost photos of all the crew. Boo hoo!

The secret of the bi-rite half sundae

This afternoon, while lazing around the house, anneh called to see if
I wanted to get some ice cream. It's a super peautiful day, and I
thought it would be good to get out and about. Randall, who rarely
turns down ice cream, decided to join us. It was sort of still a gal
outing because randall did that thing he does where he makes himself
invisible and hides in the corner. We did however make him become
visible in order to take our picture.

Here we are enjoying half sundaes. Anneh had the banana split and I
had sam's sundae. I'd always wanted to try it (choco ice cream, olive
oil, sea salt, and whipped cream), but never wanted that much of it.
Lucky for me anneh tipped me off to the fact that you can order half
sundaes. It's sort of the perfect amount (okay maybe still a tad much,
but you can eat it all in one sitting and not feel gross), and is not
written on the menu board. Consider yourself in the know.

Ps. sam's sundae is great, and I don't really even like chcocolate ice
cream.

my dogs is tired

for some reason this weekend really turned in to a tourist in my own backyard sort of weekend. first it was alcatraz, then it was the wave organs, and today it was mclaren park with samshrew, chris, randall and sushi dog. we hung out for a few hours and made friends with some other dogs, and then we went for foods. it was such a peautiful day, the weather was really warm, and as you can tell, it wore me and sushidog out.

We're too sucky for fancy, but hey love all

I rounded out the weekend with a little nap and then some tennis.
Despite the fact that the golden gate was already covered in fog at
2pm, the weather in sf managed to stay warm and summery and I wanted
to take advantage of it. Actually, tennis was randall's idea, and that
fact surprised me more than the weather, so I definitely took
advantage of it.

We played for at least a half an hour, maybe more. It's hard to keep
track when you're not keeping score. Mostly because we suck
(especially when we try to do anything fancy) and the score is always
love all.

wherever the wind doesn't blow

the weather was amazingly lovely today, and so i made randall take me out on a date. we ended up driving over the bridge for brunch, hanging out by the bay, and then running a bunch of little errands. afterwards we headed over to chrissy field to fly kites. sadly there was no wind and the kites never flew. just when we decided to call it a day, molly texted about beer o'clock. so we packed up our strings and headed over for drinks. a few beverages and several donut holes later, we were back at home and ready to pass out.

man i love long weekends.

ps. it was a sugar-iffic day. at brunch we ran into nicole, and on our way to drinks we ran into stacia. both of them were surprised to see me in their neighborhoods, but honestly i have to admit, i was sort of surprised to see me there too.
