I decided to hang out here. First off was a delicious baked egg brunch
at nopa. (They started serving there last week, so go before everyone
finds out and then there's a long wait.) I paired the awesome food
with an equally tasty bloody mary. Afterwards Randall and I decided to
mosey on towards the lower haight to check out all the shops. It had
been a while since I'd wandered there just for shopping. While
exploring the million skateshirt gallery shops, I found myself a great
hat. I'd been nonchalantly looking for a while, but nothing seemed to
fit my giant brain. This one however fits my big ol' noggin.
New hat on top of my head I popped in and out of all the shops. I
ended up getting a cute little painting of a polar bear hobo and
another of a sleepy bird. I also stopped to check out the Stanley
donwood exhibition and the Alex pardee popup shop. The next thing I
knew we were eyeballing dogs at duboce park. They have happy hour
their and outdoor seating, who knew?
All the dog talk made us realize we should call up shin and Karen so
that Randall could meet olive. She loves to lay in the sun and was so
adorable! After a bit we took off and headed towards dolores park. We
stopped at the mission on the way as I'd never been. Services were
going on so we didn't go in the main building but did check out the
smaller chapel. I figure I look at churches in other cities why not
here?
When we were done sightseeing we headed to bi-rite to pick up food for
dinner. I went for chicken, beets, tomatoes and corn. Randall opted
for steak. I won.
On our walk home we ran into laura, our skeeball partner in crime. We
chatted for a while and then finally headed home, eating cookies on
our way.
Next up was perfectly grilled dinner in the perfect outdoors (except
for the 5 big yucky spiders that moved into the yard) and then a bit
of Dexter. Now if you'll excuse me, it's time for some beatles rock
band and if I'm lucky, a tasty drink.
