Reiko -- all the way on the end in the royal blue turtleneck -- is getting married in less than two weeks! Us gals all wanted to take her out and treat her to a Reiko day, but time is running out. Naturally this meant that the only option was to skip class and take a long lunch at Thi Spa. Mani-Pedis for all! The best part was that the crew really pulled out all the stops. There were petite tea sandwiches, mini red velvet cupcakes, wine, champagne, sparkling tea, sparkling juice, scones, cookies, bread, fruit and so much more. Melissa even got us all a parting gift: a holiday stocking stuffed full of goodies. If you're wondering why holiday stocking, it's because Reiko's getting married on Christmas, so of course we had to stick to the theme.

ps. speaking of pics, the gal at the salon took about 10 photos. this is the only one where we all have our eyes open. that's how excited we were to be sneaking out of the office.

For weeks Julie has been asking to have her life fulfilled (aka eat a
tasty lunch), so today reiko, Julie, and I headed over to tea garden
for some taiwanese niu roh mian (beef noodle soup). While there we
chatted about our moms and slurped up the noodles. Julie told us a
story about how her mom called her once at 11pm asking where she was
because a lady doesn't stay out like that. Oh moms, ladies do stay
out, they also eat soup. Lots of yummy soup.

today was reiko's birthday, and since she is a self-proclaimed little frog, we decided to celebrate froggie style (translation: lots and lots of frog things). there were frog stickers, frog mouse pads, frog gum, frog candy, frog absolutely everything. my contribution to the frog parade was the cupcake pond base (the talented made the amazing marzipan frogs) and the weird dopey frog headband that reiko was kind enough to sport.
