anneh and i are here at sfo waiting for our flight to board. they didn't bump us up to buisness time class, but they did give us better seats. so score one for travelling with the girl on crutches.
ps. i love the guy in the background picking his ear
pps. no wine series despite the fact that the flight was delayed. i don't know why. i didn't think about it until it was too late. we'll make up for it next time.
this evening, angelica, randall and i went to a sneak preview of monsters vs aliens in 3D. it was a total blast -- sorry you couldn't make it D, but thanks for "hooking us up" -- and such a surprisingly cute movie. plus, as a bonus, we got to wear these awesome glasses.
in other news, my morm called me a bajillion times today (i didn't know because i had accidentally left my phone at home) to tell me all about the spam she got. i'm still trying to get her to start her own site, she's still not having it. although i think i'm breaking her down. believe me, this is a good thing.
ps. the news is currently talking about a recent quake swarm. anyone else worried about the big one?
pps. burger, i am sorry you have the superbug. please to get better soon.
right now i am exhausted. a little tipsy, a little full, but mostly just exhausted. i can't remember the last time i was home before 9pm - although honestly, it's been more like 10pm.
tonight's reason for an outing was TCHO chocolate's shindig. they were having free hot cocoa (spicy with cinnamon and perfect for the weather), along with tons of samples to eat. in fact, i almost didn't need dinner after all the delicious chocolate (for the record i think i'm either a chocolatey or a citrus person).
the highlight of the evening was when we donned hairnets and checked out their factory. it's not fully ready (right now they operate out of a shipping container that sits in a warehouse), but it's going to be amazing when it does. the whole place is like a modern willy wonka smashed together with the most awesome science lab you've ever seen. randall says it's going to be like a live action version of "how it's made" (you know, that show on discovery channel, the one he's sort of oddly obsessed with). i somehow think it's going to be cooler than that.
afterwards we headed to the slanted door where i crashed the bro party and drank some awesome drinks. in fact, one of them tasted just like christmas.
ps. how is the week not over yet?
pop's birthday is next week. he's turning the big six-oh, and we wanted to take him out for a fancy meal. so randall, samshrew, chris and i piled into the car and headed to sactown.
but first we had to head to morm's house and move furniture around. that in itself is a ridiculous story in which the punchline is morm's getting a roomate, however today's post is about pops, so we'll talk about that later.
we surprised pops with dinner at morton's with james, sena, the bottoms, and all of us. he was surprised by it, i think he thought we'd take him someplace where he had to wear a ridiculous hat instead. the food at morton's was tasty, and the service was fun. i think pops really enjoyed himself so that is all that really matters. although judging by how morm went to town on her steak, i think she enjoyed it as well.
ps. i don't think there was anyone in the restaurant who wasn't celebrating a birthday.
